The Team
Crypto crime prosecution in Nigeria requires people who understand Nigerian courtrooms, can navigate institutional relationships, and can validate case details against on-chain evidence. We built a team that knows how to do that.

The THEMIS Approach
We have learned from years in compliance and investigations that quality intelligence comes from people with institutional knowledge and local networks. Nigerian-based researchers and field coordinators are essential for accessing court records, validating case details, and building relationships with law enforcement agencies. This work cannot be done remotely by outsiders.
THEMIS collaborates with law enforcement on a mutual benefit basis: agencies get published case analysis and structured data that strengthens their prosecution track record; we get access to records and investigative context that ensures our database is accurate.
Every case in the THEMIS database is verified against primary sources. We do not rely on secondary media reports. Our team approach (field assistants collecting certified true copies, research assistants cross-referencing structured data, QA analysts validating on-chain trails) ensures findings that hold up to scrutiny.
Join Us
We are looking for researchers, field assistants, and analysts who care about building local expertise in Nigerian crypto crime prosecution. The project operates on a volunteer basis with a commitment of no more than two hours per week. Students in their fourth or final year of a law degree, or with strong blockchain experience, are encouraged to apply.
We review all applications. If you are selected, we will reach out within two weeks. In the meantime, you are welcome to follow our research or get in touch with questions.
